Test Team

Our products are the result of years of field experience and a constant quest for improvement. This means that all our products undergo extensive practical tests before they are included in our collection. These tests are not only carried out by scientists and researchers in laboratories, but also by an entire division of professional experts who test each item individually in the most demanding practical situations. In this way, we guarantee not only the excellent technical quality of our clothing, but also optimal functionality. After all, for a professional, functionality is one of the most important aspects of work equipment.

Production

The HEROCK® workwear collection is designed by a creative and experienced Belgian team. They closely monitor every step of the production process with our own production team in Asia. From the design on paper to the finished product in its packaging. Our products are the result of years of experience and a constant search for improvement and needs from practice.

Certificates & ISO Standards

EN ISO: 13688

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING

This standard sets requirements for the harmlessness, design, and comfort of protective clothing, among other things. More than in the previous standard, requirements are also set for the aging of the clothing, for example, due to its use but also as a result of cleaning. Specifically, if a manufacturer claims that the clothing can be washed, they must demonstrate that after the claimed number of washes, the protective properties are still present.

EN 343: 2003

PROTECTION AGAINST PRECIPITATION

This European standard relates to protective clothing against rain, wind, and cold at temperatures higher than -5 °C. This standard specifies the requirements and test methods applied to the materials and seams of protective clothing against the effects of bad weather.

EN ISO 15797:2004/AC:2004

Garments tested according to EN ISO 15797 are tested for industrial washing and drying. The standard specifies the test procedure for measuring the effect of industrial washing on workwear in general and its color and durability. The clothing is tested under 8 different washing procedures that simulate the influences during industrial washing. The clothing must be tested for retention of fit, abrasion resistance of seams, material strength, colorfastness relative to color strength, and color bleeding.

EN ISO 20471: 2013

HIGH-VISIBILITY CLOTHING

This international standard for high-visibility clothing specifies the visibility of the wearer at the workplace. Anyone working on streets, roads, or construction sites must wear clothing that complies with the EN ISO 207471:2013 standard, so that the wearer is visually signalled.

EN 14404:2004 + A1: 2010

This standard describes the test methods and requirements for knee protectors for work in a kneeling position.

EN 14058: 2017

Clothing with this standard protects the wearer from a cold environment (down to -5°C). The clothing must be worn close-fitting, and adjustment options must therefore be used (such as close-fitting cuffs, adjustable sleeves). There are no model requirements, but the clothing must be adjustable and long enough so that the top and bottom overlap, even when bending over. The clothing should be stored in a dry place to prevent the thermal insulation value from decreasing. Therefore, take into account the cleaning process and ensure good ventilation.

EN ISO 20345

SAFETY STANDARD FOR SAFETY FOOTWEAR

The provisions that safety footwear must comply with are laid down in European safety standards. The ISO 20345 safety standard specifies what current safety footwear must meet. All safety footwear approved under this standard must at least be provided with specific basic requirements. The letter 'S' is used for marking. 'S' stands for 'safety'.

Fabrics & Treatments

HEROCK® uses the best available technologies in its clothing. This ensures optimal protection and unparalleled comfort while performing your job.

Cordura®

Cordura® is a fabric designed by textile manufacturer Dupont. This polyamide fiber is extremely durable and strong, yet very flexible. HEROCK® uses this exceptional fabric to reinforce crucial areas in its clothing, such as on the knees, shoulders, and elbows.

Coolmax®

With the Coolmax® fiber incorporated into the fabric, you ensure that your body stays dry and cool: the specially designed fiber wicks away your perspiration to the outer layer where it can quickly evaporate. This fabric is even worn by top athletes because of its unique ventilating properties.

YKK® Zippers

YKK® zippers are designed by the YKK® Fastening Products Group. These are the strongest zippers in the world. We use these zippers to further reinforce HEROCK® workwear.

WASA Sweden Quality

WASA SWEDEN QUALITY specializes in durable accessories. They use a high percentage of copper mixed with zinc, making their buttons stronger, easier to use, and better secured in our clothing. This makes our HEROCK® products even more durable.

Meryl®

This fabric forms the ideal base layer of the 3-layer system and is antibacterial, odor-controlling, and moisture-wicking. Thanks to its quick-drying property, you get maximum comfort and your body stays nice and warm.

Flexfit®

Our Flexfit® caps feature patented technology that weaves polyurethane spandex into the sweatband and throughout the crown. This provides a comfortable fit.

Pro-Reforce

Pro-Reforce is an innovative material we developed to serve as a protective shield. The fabric consists of 100% Oxford polyester with an extra coating that not only makes your clothing dirt-repellent but also provides extra mechanical resistance. This extremely robust and durable fabric protects you from all possible external factors and allows you to work in all situations, whether it's weather conditions or extreme working conditions. Some garments are entirely made from this fabric, others are reinforced with Pro-Reforce in crucial areas.

Flex2000

This is an extra strong polyester fabric reinforced with polyurethane, a PVC coating, and taped seams. This combination ensures 100% waterproofing on the outside, while the inside of your clothing absorbs and releases perspiration and condensation. In other words: the ideal fabric for a long workday outdoors or in the rain.

Thermolite®

Thermolite® fiber technology delivers lightweight warmth and traps a layer of warm air between the fabric and your skin. It is designed to optimize your performance.

HEROCK® uses innovative technologies for maximum comfort. Our waterproof rainwear such as the Hodor jacket and Triton rain vest combines water resistance with breathability. Softshell jackets such as the Solar, Igor and Gregor offer flexibility and protection.
